The Alcuin Society's magazine Amphora is now accepting limited advertising for businesses and organizations of interest to our members. The magazine has a print run of between 500-600 copies per issue, with over 400 going to private and institutional members (primarily in North America). Remaining issues are sold to non-members and the book trade.
Since its creation in as a non-profit 1965, the Society has worked to promote wider appreciation of the book arts through the journal and activities such as organizing Canada's only national book design awards. Though based in Canada it is an international organization. Amphora is published three times annually, and covers topics ranging from writing and collecting to fine printing, calligraphy and binding. With the journal focused on the interests of a membership that is actively interested in purchasing books (and counseling acquaintances looking for suggestions and direction), Amphora is an excellent marketing vehicle for publishers, new and rare booksellers, and book-arts supply dealers. And we know that members take pride in retaining and sharing copies of Amphora, building up extended runs.
