Each year, the Society selects three judges with slightly varied areas of expertise. The next judging takes place on February 28, 2026.

  • Ingrid Paulson

    Ingrid is a book designer for publishers of all sizes, providing art direction, cover design, and full book design and layout for all types of editorial projects, from large coffee table art books to small topical essay-style non fiction books. She focuses on fiction, topical non-fiction, and adult picture books. She also teaches book design for the Publishing Certificate through The Chang School, Toronto Metropolitan University.

  • Jason Dewinetz

    Jason Dewinetz is a writer, typographer, printer, publisher, and educator. For more than 25 years he has operated Greenboathouse Press, designing, letterpress-printing, and binding fine press editions of poetry and typographic reference. He teaches typography & design at Okanagan College, where he has established a letterpress studio allowing students to get away from their screens and work with real type.

  • Mark Goldstein

    A multi-award-winning graphic designer and the founder of Beautiful Outlaw Press, Goldstein is also a writer, translator, and editor. His poetry and criticism have appeared in periodicals and journals such as The Capilano ReviewPeriodicities, and Jacket2. Goldstein has authored six trade editions including Thricelandium (2024), a translation of poems by Paul Celan.
