The Alcuin Awards Ceremony
This event takes place at the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto on Monday, October 20, 2025. It begins at 5:00 pm with the winning books being available for viewing. A sit-down dinner follows at 6:30.
The speaker of the evening is Gilbert Li, RGD. His talk titled “Making Art While Making Artbooks” is about working with artists in the design of artbooks. Gilbert, an acclaimed graphic designer with over 30 years of experience, is especially recognized for his portfolio of over 100 books—from artist monographs and exhibition catalogues to literary anthologies. In 2004, he founded The Office of Gilbert Li, leading design teams working with a discerning clientele of museums, publishers, cultural organizations and non-profits. After 20 years of operating as a full-service design studio, The Office of Gilbert Li is now the moniker of his solo practice focused on book projects
The Presentation of the Awards for the 2024 winners will follow the speech.
